I have been treating protomyxzoa for the past five weeks (Alinia and artemisinin pulses, along with herbs). About four weeks ago, I noticed a bruise on my chest, about the size of a quarter.
A week later, the bruise was still there, and I ran my hand over it. To my surprise, there was a lump under it, about the size of a pea. It was hard.
I saw my PCP, and she said that it is likely scar tissue under the bruise, and not to worry. She also said it would disappear slowly. I should only worry if it grows.
What it does is change. Sometimes it is "taller," and more pronounced, such as after a shower. Also, that area was itchy this past week, and after I scratched, it looked like a huge mosquito bite. By the next day, it was barely noticeable.
It seems to "go down" at night, and then get taller at times during the day.
So, any thoughts? I have never had the lumps under the skin, even though I have had Lyme, babs, and bartonella treatment for the past 2 years. It is freaking me out a little, and I am becoming obsessive about it.
Thank you!

Rera, I had something like as you describe when I was first treating Bartonella and Lyme. I would get these oval red itchy spots that would then turn into a bruise... and leave a lump. they are all gone now, but they would come in go. I had bruises that came out of no where. I have had rashes and weird skin things all my life, so I wasn't too alarmed. but I would continue to watch it and if at any time you are concerned you should get a 2nd opinion just to make yourself feel more at ease.

Where on your chest is this? Is it on the breast area?

Sammi - it is a bit "north" of the breast, but my PCP said that if it grows, I will have a mammogram. It is parallel with the top of my armpit, if that makes sense.

I have had lots of these and it turned out to be parasites surfacing under the skin. Since you are on antiparasitics, that would make the most sense. If you added salt/c to the mix, it would probably come to the surface and scab.

rera2528, if it were me I would have a mammogram to have it checked.
