I don't see it. What is it called? Is it under supplements?
How is this better than other artemisinin or something like Artemix which has artesunate?
Posted by BoxerMom (Member # 25251) on :
It's compounded. It's called Liposomal Artemisinin. I ordered over the phone.
The liposomal form is lipophilic and supposed to penetrate biofilms. Patients are posting good results.
To each his/her own. Herbs and supplements take trial and error.

I would think this would be effective against the Fry bug FL1953 or whatever it is, too...because that bug likes fats...

Good call Razzle! Let's feed it some Artemisinin!

There is another supplement called Art Essentials that has liposomal phospholipids with EDTA and Artemisinin that some doctors are using on PR.
I was taking LipoPhos EDTA, sometimes with Artemix. It was pretty strong. The LipoPhos is a very gross fatty liquid that you mix in juice to try to disguise the taste - doesn't work. I just can't handle it right now - TOO disgusting (worse than mepron).
I should get back on it though but I am doing extremely well so I will wait until I "need it". That means wait until a relapse which is stupid because I should fight this some more and get it really under control.

Nefferdun- What exactly are you using LipoPhos EDTA for? EDTA is for metals and is the rest for babesia or parasites?
Posted by nefferdun (Member # 20157) on :
The EDTA also binds with magnesium and iron which degrades the biofilm. The Protomyxzoa thrives on lipids. Lipophos is 70% phosphatidylcholine, the most essential lipid needed by the body. THis acts like a "Trojan Horse" to get the EDTA into the biofilm where it can do it's job breaking down the biofilm.
Art Essentials has artemisinin in it as well which is taken into the biofilm where it kills the protomyxzoa. I am guessing if you take the LipoPhos EDTA with Artemix, then it will "hitch a ride" and do the same thing.
Artemix is a combination of artemisinin, artesunate and artemether - the most powerful derivitives of artemesia. In fact the second ingredient in Coartem (the prescription drug that cured babesia for me) is artemether.
Each pill of Artemix as 50 mg of artemisinin and 40 each of artesunate and artemither. Two pills would equal the artemether in Coartem.

Thank you nefferdun. Could you refer me to where I could purchase each of these? are they OTC items or prescribed?

Jamers,
This is what I have started using off of Iherb.
Allergy Research Group, LipoPhos EDTA, Liposomal Phospholipids, 2 fl oz (60 ml)
It taste a bit like milk of magne. from when I was a kid. I have not seen any benefits yet but if it helps remove biofilms I am not sure that I would.
All the Best, MattH

Boxermom , Are you taking the liposomal art for babesia ? How many rounds did you take of it ? Do you rub it on skin twice a day ? How long did you take it before you started feeling better ?
Are you cured of babs now ? Do you have less fatigue or feel improved ?
Do you know others who are seeing benefits from this form of art ? Thank you for details , as your feedback may encourage or help others who are seeking alternatives .

The one from Hopkington is amazing.
it is actually called "artemisinin essentialls"
You want to ramp up slowly.
Week 1: 1 capsule / day Week 2: 1 capsule 2x / day Week 3: 2 capsules in the AM / 1 capsule in PM Week 4: 2 capsules 2x / day
Once you are done with week 4 you take 1 week off.
Then start 2 capsules 2x / day. 5 days on, 2 off, 3 weeks on, 1 off.
I herxed like hell when I got to 1 2x / day. In bed sick as a dog for 2 days. Now better.

I appreciate the sharing of info here SO very much. Has anyone tried this without ABX and had a good result ?
I am assuming that this is a skin cream. Correct?
The doc who DXed me implied that artimisinin kills lyme . Are doctors using this for lyme and babesia?

Any way to get the health provider price without doctor ordering it? My LLMD only uses Researched Nutritional Artemesinin SOD.

I know this is an old post, but I just wondered if what I thought was a virus of some type this week might have been a herx from second phase of artemisinin essentials. (going from 1 pill a day to 2)
I ached all over, was nauseous, with head ache and chills. Up much of the night with pain in shins, feet, head, jaw, chest and upper back. Next day, I felt better but still not right. My head and ear symptoms were off the charts. Still are...
Yesterday was 3rd day of phase 2 and I was up almost all night. I don't have the severe pain that I did a few days ago. Just feeling unsettled and not right. I have like a pressure in my chest and it feels like I need to rid my body of a lot of toxins.
I did some shoveling yesterday, but doubt that would have caused me to be up all night. I would think the opposite. I took this med a few years ago and it did not affect me this way. But I recently had some oral surgery and perhaps it has set me back in this awful journey.
