After 3 1/2 yrs. of different treatments for Lyme, Babs & Bart, my CD-57 hasn't changed and still in 20's.
Same with oldest kid, stays in 20's and 30's.
Same with youngest, no symptoms but was in the teens after bite last year. Just bit again and treating again with doxy.
What supps have helped you personally?
I DO believe in this test and want to raise our numbers into the 100's.
Has anyone taken a long break from abx. to just boost immune system with a variety of supps?

Yes, people do raise their CD-57 levels - I hear them report taking antibiotics, herbs, whatever they're using to treat their infections.
I don't deal with the CD-57 number, but I am treating with anti-inflammatories like mangosteen juice, noni juice, grapeseed extract, turmeric powder I put in capsules, also Vit D drops.
As a result of this combo, I've had a significant drop in what was an overly high hormone marker.
A comment on this CD-57 biz - mine is in the 140s and I'm sick. I asked a top LLMD about this and they said a person could have a high CD-57 and be sick, just as a person with AIDS could have a high CD-4 count and be sick.
Maybe for some people it's a marker, because I see the people feeling better who report their low CD-57 score rising, but maybe it's not a marker for everyone. -?

Yes, I agree, I don't think the marker works for everyone.
You might want to look this up. I seem to recall some research pointing to co-infections/viruses in some cases if the person is sick with a good CD-57 number.

Well, the folks working with the CD-57 marker think it's only a marker for Lyme disease, although we don't know everything...
I have no co-infections that I'm aware of, and no active viruses that I'm aware of.

Mine was out-of-range high at the beginning of treatment. Over 500, I think. It was explained as a hyperactive immune system making faulty cells. Immunocompromised.
At the 2.5 year mark, it was back in range at 87. I took oral abx for Lyme, Bart, Babs, yeast. Nothing immune enhancing, as it would have been contraindicated.
At the 4.5 year mark, it was 186. Same deal. Lots of abx. I had done a few rounds of lactoferrin and transfer factor for immunity.
I understand your concerns. This test was a big deal for a while. Now, not so much. In some people, it will correlate with the level of illness/symptoms. In others, not at all.
My sense is that I will stop abx when I no longer herx. Hopefully, that will mean symptom-free, but maybe not.
I plan to do lots of clean up after my years on abx. Gut and immune system for sure.
I guess I'm saying that I'm focused on infections now. I can keep working on other systems/markers after abx.
I wouldn't stress too much about a marker that seems to vary by individual. But I get the frustration.

I think the CD-57 is a BS test for the most part. Just my opinion.

It's just a number. Alot of LLMD's don't even place much value in it anymore.
