I haven't seen psople bring up this symptom before and there is nothing about it in a search. Anyone hear of this.

Sorry you are going through this.
I had difficulty in word recall and then it advanced to (somewhat) jumbled speech at times.
I have also heard that this could be attributed to some kind of neurological gluten sensitivity.

I used to have a lot of speech problems ,slurred speech , slow talking etc , it was very bad, but has improved 100 percent with treatment for lyme and bartonelia .
As long as doctor is treating properly and especially for co infections it will improve , or you can look into the gluten , but for me was lyme and bartonelia

- I also had lots of trouble. LOTS. Slurring, "stuck" speech, word finding, distraction . . . or just too tired to speak. This was not for all words, all the time but mostly in waves.
It's really very common with lyme and, especially for those with inner / middle ear issues, too. If the ears are involved, speak can be, too. Vision can be, too. The inner ear seems to be command central to many of our functions.
Know that this can get better. Be sure your LLMD knows.
I assume you don't mean a sudden attack but ongoing symptoms, or sporatic.
If a sudden attack out of the blue, know the signs of stroke. -

There is a brain/gut connection and with Lyme and co, a lot of the infections are in the G.I. track including parasites.
I had this yrs ago along with a numb head and many other neuro symptoms. Treating G.I. parasites was key for me. Google parasite symptoms.

I too have speech issues, wrong words used or words stated incorrectly, lose of the correct word, etc.
I will not attribute this to gluten as I have been gluten free for about 5 yrs now (pre-lyme diagnosis).

I have this at times. For a while now, I've had to plan out what I'm going to say, before I speak.
Used to be, I could start a sentence and plan it out as I was talking, choosing words and ideas as I spoke. Hah, not any more.
Sometimes I think of something I want to say, and then I am unable to convey the idea...completely unable to find the words. Sooo frustrating.
This was one reason why I did not try to teach my sons to drive. I was afraid we'd be in a tight spot and I'd be unable to tell them what to do.

During the throes of LD, my teeth would clatter at times when saying certain types of words, plosives & fricatives, ie activity, would be midway in the word and teeth clattered. 300mg daily of minocycline plus 500mg Ceftin did the trick. Mino is very good at penetrating the CNS.
