I am on the computer a lot. I am noticing that my vision is getting more blury everyday. I am sure it is from being on the computer. What do the rest of you do to avoid this problem.

Take frequent breaks by looking at different things other than your computer screen - things that are a variety of different distances from you. Do this every 15-20 minutes while on the computer.
Also, my Dad worked as a Systems Analyst (programming mainframe computers) and he said he took Bilberry daily to help his eyes.

Also be sure to get your FISH OIL - Many here really like OmegaBrite - just Google.
TAURINE is an essential amino acid for the eyes. Be sure your diet includes plenty. Vegetarians MUST supplement as it's primarily in muscle meat, fish and eggs.

I don't think looking at a computer screen can make your eyes worse.

Lots of computer use can cause you to lose your distance vision. I was told that when I had to get my first pair of glasses (for driving) when I was 41 years old.
I was furious to learn that using the PC at work was the cause of this vision loss.
Now, many years later, I no longer work and I no longer need glasses for driving. So, evidently the condition is reversing itself. I'm thrilled.
When you say your vision is more blurry, are you describing your distance vision, near vision, or just a continual blurriness? As far as I know, the PC use only causes a loss of distance vision. That is what the doctor told me.

My eye doctor told me that when sitting at a computer, we don't blink as much, so our eyes do not lubricate as well.
He said this can cause dryness and blurred vision and said to use lubricating drops.
It does seem to help.

Thanks Keebler. I can always count on you to help me. Also thanks to Razzle. Lymetoo and TF I had been on my computer for hours for a lot of days. I went to my sewing machine and to my horror I could barely see to sew, in fact I couldn't see enough to sew. I stayed off of the computer almost altogether for about three days and I could see to sew then. I also have the problem of my eyes watering for over three months and I think it is from getting tired from reading so much on the computer but I feel certain many of you are on it just as much as I am. This is really disturbing. It is so hard to afford all the different things we need to stay healthy.
