I've searched and see most here were using it for sweating out toxins, but am asking for my sister who has such pain in her back she can't sit without constantly moving.
I see from an ad it has amethyst and am skeptical about stone giving relief or healing. I know it's infrared and that's good.

I can't speak for it re discs - others will need to chime in on that.
My chiropractor uses a machine called the Vivatek for anyone with disc problems. You might google for that and see if any chiropractors in your area have it.
Is the pain just from discs or could it also be from other back entities?

Thanks so much Robin. I'm going to call their 800 number tomrrow to find out who might do that here.
I think her pain is just from her discs. She may have injured them years ago. She's been going through PT 2 times in the last 2 years and some of it actually made it wore. And caused serious irritable bladder.
That's why I think she needs some other "noninvasive" treatment.

Maybe the Thermotex Platinum 3-panel pad might help your sister?
It's available on Amazon for $215 (I think). This is much cheaper than the Biomat.
I am in no way affiliated with this product or Amazon, just trying to help.

I had the biomat on trial. I really liked it, and I believe it helped me through my worst of treatment, but i just could not justify the expense. I have since got the therasage jade mat and also really like it. I got the medium, not the full body. It is not made nearly as well as the biomat and I suspect the control with give way eventially. But it does deliver deep heat. I liked it so much I got a small one for work.
