Any ideas to help fix this? I have braces on both knees and that helps a bit. But every night my legs hurt so much and I can't keep them still. Hot baths and magnesium help, but not enough.

Is iron a good idea? Do I need testing for it?

I am getting ready to consult more holistic LLMD. A year on IVRocephan after a year of pills and shots...Im still in bed nearly all the time. When up too long I tremble, stammer, hurt, become confused....etc.

My LLMD is an antibiotic man but it does not seem to be enough. More money, more tests....sigh. Long, long journey since 1988. But there must be some answers for me.

Yes, iron deficiency can contribute to making Restless Legs sensations worse. Best to get tested to make sure, though...don't want to overdose on iron.

I have also found a homeopathic remedy called Causticum to be very helpful if I take it when I first start feeling the restless legs sensations.

I get the 30C potency Boiron brand tube at a local health food store, and just take 2 pellets (let them melt under my tongue) at the onset of symptoms.

Sometimes, if about 10 minutes has gone by and I'm not feeling relief, I'll take another dose. I've never needed more than 2 doses of the Causticum...

My mom had restless leg syndrome, although not as bad as what you have, and she was prescribed neuronitin. This helped her a lot.

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately I have had no luck with Neurontin over the years. I did get desperate last night and used acupuncture needles and they helped me get to sleep.

I will definitely try the homeopathic med. I have had good luck with them before. In fact you reminded me to get out my bottle of Traumeel. It is a great combo for pain. I had forgotten to try it. When you are sick and in pain it is hard to remember what to do for it!

I know what you mean about forgetting what to grab when you're in pain, farraday!!

I find that my RLS is bad when the candida is flaring up.

Are you sure you don't have a bad case of candida?
