A couple of weeks ago, I had CRUSHING chest pain and made a trip to the ER (for only the 3rd time in my adult life (once for a finger smashed into a hamburger-like state, once for a torn retina, and now for chest pain). To make a long story short - no heart attack.
Seemingly related, I had been having a persistent dry cough for a long time, occasional difficulty swallowing, occasional heartburn, and frequent sore throats. During my recent 10 minute appointment, my MD gave me a prescription for Ranitidine.
I just had my HOUR LONG appointment with my LLMD/ND and discussed this matter with her. She agreed with the choice of Ranitidine to stop the heartburn and allow any erosions to heal, but that's where the similarity ended. My LLMD/ND had done blood tests and diagnosed the underlying CAUSE of the problem as infection with H Pylori. So, she prescribed the antibiotics to actually treat the underlying infection and get rid of it!
An Hour Long appointment vs. a 10 minute appointment.
Treatment of the CAUSE vs. treatment of the symptoms.
Quite a difference!

Yeah, the LLMDs know more than the allopathic docs. Western medicine is "blocked."
Fyi, I had every symptom you have. Persistent dry cough, and difficulty swallowing were babs.

Yep, regular Drs give you meds to take for life. That's how the pharmaceutical cos make their money.
