I would do the Body Ecology Diet for awhile... fermented vegetables and all. Get some Diflucan and take it for at least a month and see how you feel!!
Suggestion: Don't ever stop taking probiotics!

At the end of my lyme treatment, my lyme doc restored my gut. It was a 30 day treatment.
During the 30 days, I had to be on the anti-yeast diet.
He gave me diflucan, nystatin, and Florastor. (You can buy the Florastor in Walmart.) I believe he had me take one Florastor per day. I don't remember the details of the diflucan and nystatin.
If it turns out that you really, really need to know the dosages of diflucan and nystatin and how long I took them, let me know. It is possible that, with searching, I could find out these facts.
It worked for me. No problems with yeast afterward. I had been on high dose antibiotics a total of 3 years by the time I was finally finished.

You were very fortunate, TF.

Agreed.
But, I wasn't very fortunate that it took 10 years before I got my diagnosis. Lyme stole at least 5 years of my life.
Then, the lyme doctor learning curve. 2 wasted years on meds with an inadequate doctor who finally told me I would just have to stay on meds the rest of my life!
That's probably why I am so passionate about helping folks get diagnosed and finding a good doctor.
So, something good can come out of our misfortunes if we have eyes to see it.
When I found a good doctor, everything turned around!

I won't even repeat my story of lost years.

We are still in treatment but using VSL #3 DS for gut protection. Insurance paid for it so that is wonderful. I was reading that Costco has it for the best price for self pay. Amazon sells it but often does it pack it on ice when shipping.
Diflucan is very helpful to me when in a rut.
JLF- are you done with treatment? Is it because you feel you can't do it anymore or are you in remission?

TF, is Florastor the same as s. boulardi? If it is, then good, I have a fridge full.
Maybe this is what I need to do. I am finding even 50 billion of probiotics to be too much. I am taking one maybe every third day and that seems much better. Do you think I should just simply take the s. boulardi?

My doc had me do a metamatrix comprehensive stool panel.
Even though I had been taking probiotics throughout antibiotics treatment, the test showed what specifically was out of balance.
My doc did a more targeted treatment for my gut after that.
ADP for yeast and S. bolourdi + probiotics (no FOS or MOS, it can feed infections).

What is ADP?

- Yes, it's the same. I would take as many probiotics as your body can handle.
I thought s.boulardii was not supposed to refrigerated.
