Does anyone have any advice as to where to go to get blood drawn for Igenex? My ID dr. nor GP will administer and I am at a loss for where to go.
Someone mentioned going to a Quest lab but not sure if they can draw blood for a competing lab?
Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have the kit from Igenex so all ready to proceed.
Thanks!

I went to my local Labcorp drawing lab. They charged me $15 dollars and spun the samples for me. Then I sent it off to FedEx.
Don't forget you need a Doctor to sign off on the form.
Good Luck!

Be sure to do it early in the week. No later than Wednesday.

Any doctor can sign off on it - they don't even need to know what's going on - my primary care doc signed off and he didn't know a thing. You can talk with IGeneX about which tests to order. 1-800-832-3200.
Results are sent back to the ordering doctor, so make sure you get a copy. We can help you with interpretation, and the explanation for the Western Blot IgM and IgG bands is posted at the top of Medical Questions.
Just know that 60-70% test positive who have the infection, so Lyme doctors also treat clinically, by history and symptoms. Reasons for not testing positive listed at www.mentalhealthandillness.com/seronegativelymedisease.html Posted by Keebler (Member # 12673) on :
- Other options: Chiropractor; Doctor of Osteopathy.
A ND (naturopathic doctor) can also order it and they would know good labs for blood draws, too.
An advantage to having a ND get the test result is that you will certainly get a full copy then.
Some NDs are LL, too.
If it goes to a doctor who does not believe in lyme, you may not get the full report. -

Make sure to get IGeneX to send you the testing kit so that it's done properly. They will send it for free.
I had a difficult time getting the blood drawn too, until I went to AnyLabTestNow, a franchise, it cost me $29.00 I believe, but I had my doctor's order.

Thank you everyone.
After seeing my GP for heart palpatations, he had his lab draw the blood for me. My infectios disease dr had provided me with a "script" for it so it worked out.
