I just finished having prolozone injections in my neck/shoulder and both hips. The hip injections helped a lot but I am still in grave pain in neck and shoulder. Using moist heat compact and electrical stem for relief of pain. Just had to take a vicodin because the pain was jabbing and burning so bad couldn't handle it any more. In the past it helped a lot not sure why this time my neck is still hurting so bad, maybe Dr. hit a nerve and caused damage.

I've heard good things about prolozone. I think it's slightly different??
Blank.. maybe it's "just" the increased inflammation from the procedure and it will calm down? I hope so!!

Speaking of prolotherapy ( not prolozone which my doctor said he could not provide because its not approved or something like that)..
Anyway.. since prolotherapy creates an inflammatory response is it something lyme people should get? I have lax tendons in my ankle and maybe prolotherapy would help but not sure I need an injection that stimulates inflammation.

The inflammation is temporary (several days). It's hard to tolerate, but usually worth it. If you KNOW you have lax tendons, then you'd probably benefit for sure.
So many have no clue if they have lax tendons or not... so have no clue if the prolo will help.

At the pain clinic I go to, I was told they inject you with sugar for prolotherapy. Sugar is the irritant used. I have no idea if this will irritate a candida problem.
My doc found doing laser light therapy to be more effective with less side effects, so that's the main treatment they offer.
I know others who have had relief from prolotherapy though.

Yes, it's dextrose. I don't think it really affects candida that much. I had candida at the time and don't remember it getting any worse.

There are only a few prolozone injection ND and MDs in US. You can do a search on google that will provide u with a list of all doctors that will do procedure. I went to a MD in New Jersey and an ND in Nova Scotia on vacation. Ozone (o3) kills everything it comes into contact with infections, viruses, fungal etc. very powerful. Get for joints because many drugs and herbs can not get to ligaments/tendons. I have had so far great results except my shoulder which I do think now he went to deep and hit a nerve, but slowly it is getting better. Hips have improved 75% from pain.

I had 4 prolotherapy treatments before I knew I had lyme. 4 big needles full of a little bit of procaine and salt water. I got treatment for a torn rotator cuff.
It relaxed the internal inflammation and the next day I had full range of motion. My other option was shoulder surgery and 8 weeks of rehap. I am very happy with the results. I had two treatments on one knee and one on the other and did not experience the same gain but knee pain went down by at least half. 30 minutes after the treatement I walked about 3/4 mile to the train station with very little pain.
Prolozone is a technique created by Dr Shallenburger and said to be better than prolotherapy but no way for me to tell. 8 years after the shoulder prolotherapy and still no issues so worked well for me. I had it done in Chicago.
