Friends,
I am currently treating bart. Whenever I flare (every 15-18 for about 4-5 days; has also happened before I started this treatment) I have these weird thoughts. I have never been a suicidal person and I know I would never do that.

But when I flare, I often recorgnize myself in a mood like talking to someone I know, or just for myself, and yelling stuff like "well than I have to kill myself if you/no one won't help me/cure me".

I get so agitated, but when the flare is over, that feeling is gone as well.

During the first 3 weeks on Rifa & Mino, I really felt like things improved for me. I have had 10 days where I had no symptoms, but now I feel like sliding back.

Thoughts and comments are welcome

Just keep others around you during these times. Make sure you keep reminding yourself that it is the BART, not YOU.

Maybe you are having a monthly type of herx since you've been on the meds 3 wks??

Not sure if bart cycles like that.

What else have you tried for bart?

thanks lymetoo,
feels good to read you. I have taken lots of abx for 2 years now in different combinations (doxy, zith, ketek, cefuroxim, bactrim).

I have had the monthly flares before I started treating lyme. I have also treated Babesia and I fell that now flares come in this pattern.

You might get more responses from people with experience if you change the title to
Mino and suicidal thoughts.

I think this problem is fairly common.
Have you talked to your doctor?
You might need to stop the med.

Hi Carol, I heard it is common. I personally do not regard is as too serious, since I do not feel a pressure to do it but simply this overwhelming anger. Would just be great to whether it may be Bart-related and it is good to talk about it.

Another mental issue is lingering which i like to hear opinions on: there is a girl i used to date, she wanted us to become a couple, but I was really not interested in her that much and after a certain time she stopped dating me which was fine with me.

After some months she contacted me again, we dated again but she didn't wanted to further see me after a couple of times, since she had met someone else in between. It s almost a year ago and I am so angry and mad at her. I know it is irrational but I am so jealous and feel betrayed by her. Could that be bart as well or is it simply stupidity [Smile] ? Normally, I am not really a jealous person and I have never been during the timne we dated. I never see her but I am thinking about her all day, so angry at her.

Are you taking any binders? Detox support?

May help.

thanks Bitten, I am not taking any detox since so many different products exist and it confuses me much more. I am doing a lot of exercise and eating very clean and healthy.

"I am not taking any detox since so many different products exist and it confuses me much more."

If you like, I can suggest some things to start.
You may be able to reduce the feeling of overwhelming anger.

Magnesium
Fish oil
