something new - started about 3 days ago. I started on Artemisinin about 6 days ago - related?

Left Hand - index finger started peeling on the side in the first joint.

Next day, ring finger started peeling just under the fingerpad in top joint.

Today, middle finger started peeling to the right of the finger pad.

I am not in any chemicals, don't cook, have no clue what could be causing this. Afraid to see what starts peeling tomorrow. Each area peeling is getting larger daily.

any suggestions - hints - has this happened to you. Why is my hand doing this?

jjourneys-I think this is lyme and co. Is the skin underneath the peel, raw? Or is it shiny like new skin/scar?

My palms currently are doing this. Tiny tiny fluid blisters in the palm, and they burst on their own, and then peel in circular round shapes.

When I looked it up online, it looked similar to a secondary syphilis rash.

I don't have syphilis, (Was tested to rule out cross-reaction at Band 41 on my WB), but like the rest of us on here, I have the other pain in the butt spirochete, lyme.

If yours looks like tiny round circles that get bigger as they peel, then it's got to be the lyme spirochetes.

I put diluted Thieve's Oil on my palms at night and it helps.

Be careful with any type of skin peeling or rash, I would check with your doctor because it could be an allergy or even Steven Johnson's Syndrome (although that would be rare, it's something I worry about particularly when I'm on abx).

Summer is right, best to make sure it's not something more serious.

Here is the wiki link for SJS for quick reference

I've gotten the itchy blisters that peel on my fingers for a looooong time. Thought it was an allergy at first, now I'm more convinced than ever it is either viral or from Lyme/coinfections.

And yes, Thieves oil rubbed on my fingers seems to help.

Thank you all! I'll get some Theives oil!!!

Looked up SJS - yuck! I don't think this is the issue. Although it is an immune deficiency problem - I hope no one on here has this!!!

I am kind of blaming the ABX - been on them full strength since January. See the dr in 2 wks - will talk with him about this.

thank you all!!!

Could also be yeast/fungus.

GretaM ,

Your post is the first time I've ever heard anyone describe my rash symptoms precisely.

My palms break out with tiny tiny fluid blisters and then peel in circular round shapes. This has been happening about every 40 days for almost a year. It also started on the bottoms of my feet, but not as severe.

I've been on three abx for about 4 months now and still no change in the palm rashes. I had read the same thing about the secondary syphilis rash. After all, lyme is a cousin spirochete.

Does yours break out ever 30 to 40 days? Does it flare up at any particular time?

My LLMD has just started treating me for bart, so that might make a difference. The reason I think so is because I had this rash about 6 months before any lyme symptoms showed up and I was scratched and bitten by a kitten back then. It could be bart.

Many thanks,
Susan

SUSAN-Great post! Yes, every 30 days or so. It just starts to heal up, and then the tiny little bumps return, and then when they pop turn into white peeling circles. My right palm has about 30 of those peeling circles currently.

When I was on Biaxin, it seemed to me they went away, as did the stinky fluid leaking from my right ear.

Now I'm not on any Biaxin, because I had some stomach troubles, but does Biaxin hit Bart?

I'm so glad I'm not the only one with this symptom.

I've been on Biaxin for about 6 months now, but the peeling fingers just started.
