I have not yet been diagnosed with Lyme or co-infections, but suffice it to say that I have mnay Lyme symptoms and competing diagnoses have been ruled out.
Back in January/February 2013, on a couple occassions I would wake up in the middle of the night in a sweat and feel my body (back, chest, arms, maybe legs) "buzzing" (or at least that's how I remember it). FWIW, I think that on at least one occassion I had take a warm bath before going to sleep; however, I am not heat sensitive and in general enjoy warm weather/hot showers/etc.. It went away after about five minutes. I was regularly suffering from insomnia at the time (since controlled through medication).
This hasn't happened since February and I have sort of forgotten about it since then.
Does this point toward any particular infection in particular? Something else?

Night sweats can be one hallmark symptom of Babesiosis which is similar to malaria.
Some other symptoms of Babs include shortness of breath (air hunger), chills, heart palpitations, muscle weakness, severe headache, stiff neck, and fatigue.

Lyme disease can also cause night sweats and buzzing/burning/prickling/stinging sensation etc. I had the night sweats for about year, still have the burning throughout my body.

i often wake up in the middle of the night with a headache. my hair can be damp and my neck, shoulders, and chest are soaked in sweat.
between my breasts is absolutely the worst. even behind my knees!!!
