has anyone read this book and did it help them?

http://www.amazon.com/From-Fatigued-Fantastic-Jacob-Teitelbaum/dp/1583332898/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t

It has some really good reviews.

I believe it's in its third edition. It's somewhat helpful, but there's so much more on Lyme that's new. Check out Buhner's new book on treating Lyme coinfections, mycoplasma and bartonella.

I have not read the latest edition. But what I liked about it is that it lists symptoms and then gives suggestions starting with supplements and life style changes and goes to prescriptions. I thought it was handy.

Have read it but haven't found Fantastic yet. Not that helpful and not much we haven't heard. I think its more for CFIDS/FM than lyme.

It helped me before I found out I had Lyme, NOT fibromyalgia. I read it about 13 yrs ago.

Dilantin has its own worries!!! I think it can cause problems but right now I can't think of what it is!

My mother took it for many years and it caused something bad.

I never heard of Dilantin. I'm not really into taking pharmaceuticals but I did look it up on Wikipedia. I'd have to read the Dryfus book. He gave alot of it to Richard Nixon back in the day. He must have needed it... (lol)

Thanks for mentioning it Carol. I'm not a big fan of Teitlebaum. I went to the Fibro & Fatigue Clinic. It cost alot of money & it didn't help me. I believe they use his protocol or he's on their board of directors. Everyone is different, though.

Carol in PA, What symptoms can Dilantin alleviate? Does it have a similar effect as anti depressants?

I would be willing to try it if it worked. something to relieve malaise or give me some energy and vitality back.

I think the dilantin was killing her white blood cells.

(see above)

Other meds can also have that effect, but not on everyone. I know I was on something, I've forgotten what, 12 years ago that did that to me.

I went through some very painful and debilitating procedures. When I saw my LLMD he immediately knew what had caused it.
