Hi, I pulsed tinidazole for lyme, but I have babesia and bartonella as well.
One week on, one week off. Honestly, it is one of my favorite abx. My energy improved on it.
I did have the sweats real bad, but then we added cryptolepsis for babs and the sweats got better.
I jumped into full dose, but others had to slowly work their way up. Everyone is different. Follow what your doc says

Did you take 500 mg three times a day? I can only seem to get to twice a day and then am soooo sick.
Do you take the cryptolepis everyday or is that pulsed too?
My understanding is that tindamax gets at about everything.

I pulsed Tini for lyme, but was also treating Babs heavy at the same time.
Both Flagyl and Tindamax are anti-parasitic, so it helps more than just a cyst buster.

Never heard of using it for babesia. Never.
1000mg a day is a LOT... 1500 is massive. No wonder you feel like death warmed over!

For me it seemed to hit just about everything. If I detoxed, enema, or colonics, had less side effects and herx. Three seemed to hit something stronger than 2, but 2 (500mg) still helped a lot. I pulsed 2-3 days a week.

Babesia is sort of like malaria... a protozoan disease of the blood. Tindamax is an anti-bacterial... not really the right agent. But the intra-cellular antibiotic, Zithromax, is usually added to medicines that treat babesia, like Mepron. I'm not sure how- or why- adding 'Zith" helps. (Not sure if anyone really knows!) I guess you just experiment & do what works.

Tinidazole is an antiparasitic, specifically antiprotozoan.
It is a front-line med against amoeba, giardia and trichomonas, all of which are protozoan infections.
It is commonly used against C.diff, a spore-forming bacterial infection.
It is also front-line in our world against Borrelia cysts and (according to Sapi's research in vitro) active spirochetes.
It does have activity against Babesia, and some actually find it very effective. It is not a front-line Babesia med, like the antimalarials.
