Anyone have a burning bladder? I also have fatigue and some numbness in my feet. But the bladder burning is terrible. I won't have my 1st LLMD visit until week.

Have you seen a urologist? Could it be a urinary tract infection?

I have bladder burning from IC (interstitial cystitis). My IC came along with Lyme.

Others will comment too, but my very humble opinion would be to see a urologist while you wait for your LLMD appointment.

Good luck..

Ive had the burning bladder since May. Doctors tell me I have IC as well.

But Ive heard mixed things with this. Some people said their bladder symptoms went away with Lyme treatment.

I dont have the urgency or frequency associated with IC, just burning.

I also tested positive for Mycoplasma and I heard this can affect the bladder.

Thanks for your reply.

I started with just bladder pain- I described it as labor pains.

Later came the other fun stuff - burning, vag pain, etc etc.

I think when Lyme is involved there are no simple answers.

Sending a PM

My IC got WAY BETTER after Lyme treatment. But I still shy away from Vit C and all citrus. I don't tolerate citric acid either.

So try staying away from anything acidic, tomatoes included.

And definitely get checked for a UTI! With IC you never know when you have an infection since you have pain all the time.

Thanks. My IC is kind of weird. I dont flare, dont have urgency or frequency. No history of bladder issues.

I got a UTI in April, that came back in May (no bacteria found) and Ive been burning ever since.

Im burning a lot less then I used to due to Elmiron and Elavil. I even have some days with no symptoms.

I can tell the burning is getting better and better.

Ive been on the diet since May. But I did start drinking some wine again and I ate mexican food over the weekend.

The next day my burning was a little more, but it has since dyed back down to its usual light roar.

Can I ask "Lymetoo" if you had Lyme or IC first?

I just found out about the Lyme. What medications/supplements helped with your IC?

Thanks

Bladder dysfunction is very common with lyme and co's....

Everyone's IC is different.

I would definitely blame your burning on the wine and the Mexican food if it was spicy.

Tomatoes can also do it.

Lyme came first for me, but the IC was the first to be diagnosed. Once I got treated for that and babesia, the IC got better.

I do use the D-Mannose daily and it keeps the infections away. Not sure how much it helps the actual IC.

I do not take any other meds for the IC.

I tried the Dmannose in the beginning but I'm not sure if it helped.

And everyone's IC is definitely different . That's why I believe that it's more a symptom, rather then a stand alone disease.

I hope with Lyme treatment it will go away. It's already gotten so much better.

I'm glad you've found something that helped.

I had recurrent kidney infection that wouldn't go away. I was getting treatment with my LLMD. Then they were talking about hospitalizing me. I then started with a homeopathic LLMD, gave me something homeopathic drops, herbs, PEMF, acupuncture. Got better after about 1 month restarted with new LLMD and started attacking parasites and did colonics.
Don't seem to have any more kidney issues that was over 1 year ago. I also juice3-4 times a week.

glucosamine/ chondroitin help rebuild mucous membrane lining of bladder - This takes a few months, but has multiple benefits!! It really has worked for me . I take 3 glucosamine chews daily , purchased at Wal Mart . They taste fabulous!! Also, I buy aloe vera gel capsules ( can get at wal mart) which are soothing. I take 3 in morning and 3 in evening.
Avoid coffee , soda, or acidic foods if you are having pain.
I can drink coffee if I take it with a deacidifier called , PRELIEF. It takes acid out of foods in the gut . Once the glucosamine started working , I needed less prelief .

Thanks everyone. I've been taking glucosamine for a few months now, among other things. It helps.

I think getting the candida under control has been helping the most.

Do you think it's parasites cat girl? Did you ever have this issue?

If so how do I totally get rid of it? It's obnoxious.
