This is what I was afraid of when politicians said they wanted to streamline healthcare by placing all of our files in a big national network. I am going to quit the big medical clinic my insurance has me going to and go back to my old doctor in her little single office.

Sadly, this is not an option for the millions of people in HMO's -- they are stuck going to the mega medical complex who disregards their rights to privacy.

I agree with you cotton brain. Back when everything was coming out of pocket, I often thought of giving a fake name to the doctors just in case they decided to give me a "pre existing condition".

It seems they are after everyone that doesn't play into the hands of the big pharma industry.
