Discovery channel last night" Americas Hidden secrets"
This was very interesting show. Talked about US Government
Hiring Nazi researchers in 1950, one in particular, that worked with ticks. This is true info .
They noted also that Lyme, Conn is 20 miles north of Plum
Island.
They also mentions that there was a breach at plum island the same time Lyme disease was noted in the US.
They almost said Lyme in US came from Plum island ,but didn,t go quite that far. Just many many coincidences.
I never before believed in conspiracies .

I saw it too. Do you remember how they used to spray DDT like crazy in the 70's, they said it was for Mosquitos but it makes you wonder if it was for ticks.

Did you ever read Lab 257, Stymie?

The only hitch to the conspiracy thing is that Lyme has been around way longer than just the last 60+ yrs.

Has this show been put on youtube by any chance? I"d like to watch it but don't have cable.

Yes, Lyme has been around since the beginning of time...but it might have been tinkered with.

A doctor (MD) that had Lyme that I was in touch with yrs ago, said that they injected these ticks with virulent strains of borrelia and brucellia and who knows what else.

Why does our govt think we need biowarfare labs to begin with?? What a mentality we have on planet earth. Makes you wonder who is really running the show???

That is true, RC1.

There are patents for mixing the borrelia with brucellosis and mycoplasma.

This link has some disturbing info from 2001 about Brucellosis and Mycoplasma.

Makes me wonder if there is actually something to my positive IgG and IgM Brucellosis tests. Since I was negative on the confirmatory agglutination test, it was dismissed.

There was a member here about 10 yrs ago who got treated for Brucellosis and got well! She had treated for Lyme for several years, then BINGO, she found the key.

sigh.... to many things to think about and be scared of... how does one treat Brucellosis? Mycoplasma is treated with Zyth right?

also a good read that incorporates the plum island stuff in a fun novel (if you can read it without getting angry) is the novel by Nelson Demille called Plum Island.

Yes, Lyme has been around for at least a hundred years but they or the bacteria may not have been as debilitating . According the the show, the nazi doctors were brought in specifically to work with ticks and to make them into a biowarfare.
I do not know the real truth behind the program , but it changed my total thinking about the real etiology of Lyme disease as it presents itself now.
Also adding all the coinfections could easily been done.
How many diseases can one animal carrier from selective mutant ion and feeding on other animals.
Also not mentioned was the fact that West Nile virus also started on Long Island by coincidence and travelled down the coast with almost the same etimology as the Lyme disease virus, very coincidental.
It would be nice to get confirmation on this and class action sue the government for treatment.
I will continue my infestigation on this action .

Go to You Tube and look for the Jesse Ventura piece on Plum Island. You would like that too. He mentions much of what you stated from this other show.

Here it is:

I tried to watch that video, couldn't get past the intro, it's too much for me- I'm too sensitive, the negativity gets me down,

like Gael said, start to question the human race type thoughts.
I need light and fluffy cotton candy, lol.

It's overwhelming. That's why I enjoyed the fiction book- turn page mystery, entertaining, yet educational.

Surprise-completely agree with you. Fiction, those cozy murder mysteries with quirky sleuths...that's my cup o' tea.

When I read about biowarfare it makes me question humanity.
How could any human even contemplate treating another human life with BW?

Honestly, the tick that bit me... Ended up back outside. I don't even kill bugs. I didn't know it was a tick at the time...thought it was a fun looking beetle. But now, I would save it in a jar, still alive. It's not its fault-its just doing what it needs to survive.

So there's some rotten apples in the barrel, but all in all I think mostly good folks on this planet.

Excluding plum island.

And those poor unknown critters. A hybrid of sorts, probably cruelly tested before they escaped. Breaks my heart.

borellia was found in a 5,000+ year old mummy

Lab 257 is full of interesting information but frightening. I had to stop reading when they detailed some of the treatment of animals.

They had outdoor pens of infected ticks and a map that showed where the infection would have gone via the migration of birds who probably picked up some of the ticks.

I agree with others, lyme that we know today is different due to the combination of other organisms etc... Seems like someone in the government has info that might help develop more effective treatment just by identifying all the organisms.

It's been years since I read the book but as I recall, the government created the labs on plum island in the hopes of creating a way to disrupt the food supply in other countries. There were likely other reasons as well but from what I recall, these monster combinations of pathogens were probably meant for livestock but who knows?
