What does penicillin hit? Did ondamed this am but said it didn't come out strongest frequency. Starting bicillin I'm in 2 weeks. On 1500 mg penicillin oral. Thanks so much.

Well, bicillin works for Lyme, so maybe penicillin will too.

Bicillin [LA}, penicillin (VK), amoxicillin, they're all part of the pennicillin 'family'- arguably the 1st antibiotic commercially available starting back in the early 1940s.
The penicillins are "cell wall" agents... that is they interfere with the cell wall of the pathogen bug, especially during the growth & division phases, such that it can't survive & is consequently "lysed".
This family of antibiotics "hits" a wide assortment of infective organisms, but the newer 'cillins, like "amoxy" (amoxicillin) & Bicillin, are much more effective against the anaerobic bugs (ones that live w/o oxygen) than the original penicillins.
All of them are bacteriocidal against B.Burgdorferi (Lyme) if present in a strong enough concentration.
I know some of the German docs like to give high oral doses of penicillin, considering it as effective as oral "amoxy" in fighting Lyme... & less detrimental to the GI tract... but the blood level 1/2-life is shorter, so more doses are needed per day.
I hear great things re: Bicillin shots. In fact, it was going to be my next abx protocol, but we went with the oral amoxicillun, which seemed to knock MY Lyme into remission quite well, over about 12-13 weeks.

I cannot get off the couch this week, my hips are insane pain and back is like lead, actually had my first real cold lasting 7 days this week and fluish herx. Its been years. If the depersonalization goes, Id be in my glory. My salt doc told me today that my salt problems is caused by meds taking . I just find it alittle strange that wen I herxed my sodium dropped and when ondamed ran bartonella on a monday and wednesday, my salt dropped from regular salt level of 135 to 122 giving me psych symptoms you wouldnt believe. ???? sense of this????
