What are you doing about your MTHFR?
I'm homozygous 677 whatever it is.

Well, what is MTHFR?

Rivendell,

This is the most comprehensive and easy-to-understand explanation of methylation defects/MTHFR that I have read yet:

MTHFR is an enzyme that converts Folic Acid (synthetic) to 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-mthf; the form of folate that the body can use). 5-mthf is needed for the methylation cycle, in which glutathione is created.

Glutathione is one of the major detox substances in the body, and also is a powerful antioxidant.

Have you read this about the MTHFR C6771 mutation?

Yes I did Dekrator48, thanks. I'm detoxing right now with herbs and charcoal so I'm concerned about doing more. My body is pretty maxed out with the quantity of toxins coming out as it is.
