I've been on rifampin for about 6 weeks now. The most I can manage to take is 2 caps - 300 mg a day without too much pain. I do my best to not feed yeast but I do cheat about twice a week. I take 100 billion ultimate flora per day. My question is - I have had less pain until about 2 weeks ago. Do you think it's likely that I could be rifampin resistant already or more likely that it's the yeast with me cheating twice a week. I would be interested in opinions about this. Also, I think eating gluten free has close to the same effect as gluten laden products as far as yeast is concerned, anyone have that experience? Thanks and hugs to everyone on this journey! Watch that diet!! Cheating twice a week is actually a LOT when it comes to yeast.

Eating gluten is just as bad as eating sugar. The yeast "read it" as a sugar.

I have a significant amount of nerve pain from the hips down.

I am taking 600mg rifampin per day with azithromycin 5 days a week.

Are you taking anything with the rifampin?
Mino, zith etc?

My head pressure and head pain has decreased. My nerve pain in my legs has increased.

I am sorry I can't give you a more definitive answer-just sharing my experience so you know it's not just you [Smile]

Greta
