?

My eyes are getting worse. I want to have them checked as I will need new glasses.

Are there any other tests that can be done that will show damage from lyme and co?

Any other tests that are helpful to track progression of disease in the eyes?

Also, what do you guys do for light and sun sensitivity? I am having a hard time with the sun lately.

Any bright lights make my eyes zing. Feels like the veins constrict or the muscles cramp when I see a bright light.

Is there something an eye doctor can do besides recommend sunglasses?

Thanks.

You might want to see and ophthalmologist instead of an optometrist to examine your eyes.

Some of the better ophthalmologist can examine the eyes with a laser to see if there's any retinal damage (you sit there and it's like watching a laser light show, it's not very bright and doesn't hurt).

I know of one person with Lyme who's ophthalmologist prescribes special drops with antibiotics that she gets from a compounding pharmacy to help with the eye issues.

See the optometrist for the prescription for eyeglasses though.

I made the mistake of having an ophthalmologist do an eyeglass prescription exam once and it was waaaaay off.

I see a neuro-opthomologist who is familiar with neuro Lyme - not an llmd but has an understanding.

Ask your LLMD if he/she can recommend someone.
