Make sure you are taking plenty of probiotics.
When I was on Bicillin, Zithromax and Septra at the same time, I took VSL3, Theralac and Florastor and had no stomach problems.
I also took my antibiotics with food.

Pretty common around here. Be SURE to buy high quality probiotics and perhaps some Florastor ALSO.
Make sure to take them 2 hrs away from any antibiotics.
Watch your diet and avoid sweets and white foods.

Lots of good advice from everyone.
The reality is that lots of people do better if they treat multiple infections at the same time instead of just treating one infection at a time.
It looks like you will probably be treating for lyme and bartonella.
The really tricky part is if you also have babesia -- trying to treat 3 infections at once is very difficult because some of the different meds do not combine well with others.
Actually if you have bartonella that could be causing the stomach issues and those symptoms could improve with rifampin.
It is always hard to know what a person can tolerate and sometimes hard to tell what is a symptom of tickborne diseases versus a drug side effect. Just take good notes so you can tell your doc which meds seem to be helping.
This is not medical advice, just my opinion based on hubby's experiences.

- DGL, Slippery Elm Bark, Marshmallow Root . . . helpful to soothe stomach lining. Avoiding gluten, too.
Be sure to communicate with your LLMD. Good luck/.
Away from my computer and this keyboard is really rough on mhy hands so can't elaobrate. Google terms above and ask others here, too. 0
