i dont see the doc that gave it to me anymore cuz i moved. she knew i didnt take it everynight-only when tri-gem pain was too bad
in the hospital recently they said if i took it i had to take the same amount at the same time everyday-not as needed
now i am home. i have continued to take 300 at bedtime like i did in the hospital.
im now going thru 2 new things...opiate withdrawal and again feeling electric shocks in my nipple from a lumpectomy dont in july
so i would like to take more of it cuz it helps the restless legs from withdrawal and also the zingers...but those things happen all day long.
im just wondering how much people take on a regular basis

I've been taking it for a few years again. I take 300 mg. 3 times a day. And it's for pain and it kind of helps with headaches too. It's shelf life in the body means taking it the same time of day every day. Hope it helps you. Hang in there.

I'm a newbie. I was prescribed 300 neurontin 3x daily before I even had a diagnosis because my pain was killing me. My neurologist said that I could adjust to what worked best for me and could go up or down as I chose.
She promised me that neurontin was not a narcotic or addictive, just that it needed to be stepped down from.

Ty. I got the chance to ask a neurol and he told me under 900. Is low dosr and easy to get off wiyhout problem

Yes, I take the amount I need every night, more or less, according to need. I get in it in 100 mg caps, so I can titrate the amount. It sounds like more would help you right now, esp at night for sleep.
How's the withdrawal going? Better, I hope. what a mess that is! Surely a big shock for you.

I still have fatigue and very loe stamina but restless legs and arms seem to be going away...thx for caring-hope this is over soon

I take an occas 300 mg when needed but was actually prescribed 2 caps twice a day. That's 1800! I never did it. I will tell you neurontin does cause weight gain as well as eye twitching. Some people have reported issues with coming off neurontin even at low doses.

I was waking up several times a night with burning in what I thought was my veins. My LLMD told me it was neuropathy and put me on 300mg one hour before taking my nightly sleep med. It worked. I sleep much better now.
