What happens to your body when you are still sick but stop (oral) antibiotics after a few months of treatment?

This happened to me .. I tried so many antibiotics and after a period of time I had to stop. I never ever finished an antibiotic treatment due to reactions to meds or the stomach problem. The doc tried treating my stomach then back on abx still unable to take.

Tried some herbal treatments and I know its because I was never able to stick with anything is why I still have Lyme Symptoms.. Chronic Lyme undx for 14 yrs.

I have a friend that did the IV antibiotics several times which didn't help, so she is trying RIFE and doing very well.

To answer your question there are other choices out there if you can't take antibiotics and I for sure was one that couldn't but I am still sick.

I understand...my stomach's a mess. I'm sick of being sick in order to get well.

But...I'm off abx because my llmd* stopped them to try an antiviral.

*I hesitate to call him an llmd as I'm not sure how he's an llmd, because he is horrid.

You need herbs to keep from sliding backwards full tilt. I have found Byron White as well as Cowden herbs helpful for this. The bugs adapt to everything (including abx), so they have to be rotated.

Also, I would work on parasites. We all have them in our air (eggs), water and food.

I can't afford any herbs.
So, without the abx, I will slide backwards?

You need to do something or you will slide backwards. You can get the herbs at a reasonable price. If you still cannot afford those, then I would do the salt/c protocol (cheap) and anti parasitic herbs--the two together work well. Parasites are the key to 99.9% of illness (JMO).

You can get this book off of amazon: The salt/c Plus Protocol for Lyme Infection. I've heard that the book is better than the kindle version. Also, you might want to visit THE PARASITE WARRIOR'S SUPPORT THREAD.

Good luck to you. I have done without treatment for yrs and I am no worse if anything some better. If it wasn't for my sinus/ear issues and depression/ anxiety for a 71 yr old I would feel pretty good. I do wish I could handle an abx long enough to get rid of the sinus / ear stuff.

You're welcome!

Phyl, you should check out treating for parasites. My sinus, ear issues, jaw clenching, breathing and more all got MUCH better after treating parasites.

I agree Catgirl that rotating treatments is a good thing, and that whatever you do builds resistance after awhile.

Day six of no antibiotics and I feel like I'm going to die. I know my cycle flare is normally now, but holy hell, I feel terrible.

I have no energy. I'm dizzy, the muscle fatigue is so severe...it's worse than when I had anemia, and the ringing in my ears has become really loud. I also have had a migraine for three days.

I'm just posting this in case someone else happens along this thread and was wondering what might happen to them.

I wouldn't stop taking antibiotics unless I was no longer having symptoms.

My first round of treatment, I kept taking antibiotics for 2 months after my symptoms cleared up, and an antiviral for a month after that. I was fine for a year - no symptoms, no meds.

After that I got sick again. This time I went off of the meds just to see how it went, even though I was still having joint pain, and totally suffered for it. I got back on them after three months, so I haven't done too much backsliding, but I really don't recommend it.

Find a new LLMD if you can. Antibiotics don't have to be hell. I'm allergic to at least 6 common antibiotics, but we were still able to find a combo that worked.

I work with an LLND now. They have ways to keep you on high doses of antibiotics without the wear and tear on the body.

I am praying for you Tick! I have had this problem before as well. I would actually feel better after I got rid of all the yeast from the abx but then months later would relapse. I have now been back on abx for seven months and will not stop until I have been symptom free for at least 2 or 3 months, which is hard because you don't know if yeast is causing any symptoms.
