Lately my urine has had bubbles in it and foams. Strange...

I do have middle to lower back pain and my vision is a little blurry.

Diabetes does run in family. At the hospital my glucose was 109 which was high.

Been very strict with diet. Could it be the dramatic change?

Foamy urine usually means protein in the urine. This may be a symptom of kidney disease. Combined with the back pain points even more to kidney issues...

If you were not fasting for the test, then it is fine. The normal range on the blood test for glucose is for fasting blood sugar.

Could be yeast. Maybe you're having die-off?

Is your kidney function ok?

My husband had that same problem when his kidney enzymes were high...which signalled his Dr to give him an antibiotic break.

I've actually had this as well and find it equally unsettling.

I have a horseshoe kidney and have had hematuria numerous times. My CBC's haven't indicated specific kidney problems, but who knows.

If you weren't fasting, I wouldn't worry about that glucose at all.

I agree with Razzle. Foamy urine is indicative of protein in the urine. A urinanalysis from your pcp is what you need to help clarify what's going on, along with bloodwork to check creatinine and BUN levels.

Life+Lyme, a CBC wouldn't necessarily indicate kidney problems. You need to get your creatinine and BUN levels checked, along with a urinanalysis.

Best of luck to you both!

If you have been on Diflucan, this also causes foamy urine.

my primary said foamy urine is suggestive of diverticulitis

I always have foamy urine the day after I have body therapy, massage, lymph drainage or cranal-sacral.

Toxic release of something.

If you are taking a lot of enzymes, this can cause it. I have foamy urine in the morning after taking enzymes before bed. It never indicated kidney problems.
