hi all :-)
two questions-

im on 5 abx currently - flagyl(pulsed), biaxin, ceftin, rifampin, and doxy. I take them all together - its easier this way but I don't know if this is correct, thoughts?

I've been on this "heavy" antibiotic regimen for about a month - prior to this, I was on just two abx...im feeling much worse during this past month...I have many more bad days than good days...I know some will say this is normal, but if there is improvement to be made, when will it happen based on your experience?

I agree, it is heavy-- pretty, pretty heavy.

Please make sure you are taking liver support, detox, and lots of probiotics!

It can get better for sure.

Yes, you can take them all together.

Too many variables to predict when you will feel better. But you will.

For me, the more I herx the faster I gain ground against my infections. I prefer a heavy med protocol to a light one.

For me, less than 3 abx just stirs things up, with no obvious gains or improvements.

On 5 meds, I herx my face off, but get better faster.

Drink plenty of water with lemon or electrolytes. Detox. Take tons of probiotics. You'll get through this.

We're all different. Our bad guys are different, our immune systems are different. Most importantly our detox protocols, detox abilities, pathways are different.

If I had done that combo years ago....I'd be dead. It would have killed me. Yes, I had months and months of 2/3 combos.

But I could never get to recommended dosages, 3 yrs after starting abx protocols. My body would literally scream, kick and shut down.
I'm not certain why it was like that. Most likely my body's inability to detox period.

Or my body knowing what it didn't want this, more so than some doc or even LLMD? Herxing mildly and on a cycle is one thing.

In a constant state of herxing 24/7 was not acceptable to me & my body. I learned the serious screams from my liver, gall bladder, spleen, kidneys and most importantly my brain.

My heart and my gut kept telling me whoa, whoa. I also had a LLMD at one time that made a great impression on me by saying, a severe herx reaction can do additional damage to the body. If you need a abx break for a few days, do it.

Listen to your body. Easier said than done. This is my experience and what I learned for myself. I firmly believe one is in charge of their own health and with good awareness, you can find a tx that works for you.

Slow and steady wins the race. You can not quickly eliminate lyme, bart, babs, myco pn, erlich, RMSF etc etc etc.

How is your body's ability to detox all this toxic matter building up? My improvement didn't come until I took the detox protocols the most important of all protocols.

Something I had the learn the hard way, because I never learned it in life prior to lyme & co.....patience my dear, patience. Wow, that was a life lesson.

Pam
