Hi all,

I just saw a Lyme literate naturopath who works closely with an LLMD. He said that based on my symptoms and lab work, he thinks I definitely have Lyme and probably also have Bartonella.

I've put my symptoms and lab results below. What do you guys think? I would love to finally have a diagnosis.

Symptoms: I have intermittent sensations and pain all over my body, a repetitive stress injury in my hands, menstrual irregularities, abdominal muscles which twitch when I am relaxed,

gastrointestinal problems, Reynold's syndrome, and a propensity to pull muscles easily, to name a few. [Smile] My first symptoms started shortly after I visited a rural area in February 2011.

IGeneX labs:

IFA:
negative

IgM Western blot: (negative)
41+
31 IND
83-93 IND

IgG Western blot: (negative)
41+
39 IND

PCR (overall positive):

PCR serum:
Plasmid: positive
genomicin: negative

PCR whole blood:
Plasmid: negative
genomicin: negative

CD 57 panel:
%CD8-/C57+ Lymphs: 2.2%
Abs CD8-CD 57+ lymphs 33/UL

I am happy to give more information if it would be useful. Thanks!

Kara

You have INDs for Lyme bands, and many consider those weak positives.

Your symptoms sound like Lyme symptoms.

I'd say work with your LLND and LLMD - they have the experience to help you try treatments.

Also get blood tests done so you can see what to boost.

You have a good East Bay support group which you can see listed at the left with Support Groups - click on United States and California.
