I don't know about should or shouldn't, this may be a personal question.
I don't feel comfortable about non LLMD making decisions for me, so I run requests made by other docs to my LLMD. I try to learn as much on my own so that I can make my own decisions whenever I can.

I have other specialists (cardiologist/psychiatrist/Neurologist) but run the recommendations by the LLMD to make sure the treatment doesn't conflict.

It would help if you would not type in ALL CAPS... hard for most here to read.
It's up to your LLMD whether or not he/she will handle everything. Some can, some can't. Some do, some don't.

I have PCP internal medicine doctor- who tested me for Lyme when I crushed under symptoms in 2008. PCP has been a pure gold.
Found great LLMD who saved my life.
Had Rheumathologist - two actually- and had to fired them both because they were not opened to my Lyme treatment.
Have great Neurologist-who listen about my Lyme treatment but does not judge it- treats/explains my neurological symptoms.
