I only have the IGM results at the moment because my doctor is incompetent, but am in the process of switching. Any thoughts (see below).

Was bit in 2001 and had the bullseye rash and received 10 days of doxy. Now over the past three years all kinds of aches and pains.

Have been on ABX for 3 months and feel worse. Trying to hang in there, but hard when you are running after a 4 and 1 year old, but trying so hard to keep positive for them!

Igenex IGM result POSITIVE
CDC result POSITIVE

18 kDa ++
23-25 kDa IND
28 kDa -
30 kDa -
31 kDa +
34 kDa +
39 kDa +
41 kDa ++

83-93 kDa +

Positive.

I hope you are switching to a LLMD who can treat your properly and evaluate you for coinfections also.

It is normal to feel worse at first. Decreasing inflammation and detoxing are important.

You can do this. Stick with us for support!

Saying a prayer for you.

When you find an LLMD test your kids too since you were infected so long ago. It can be passed in utero and it's good to know if they got infected.

Doens't matter that you only got the IgM since it's positive. If either is positive, you have it.

My LLMD didn't test children unless they had symptoms. Only one of my children was tested/treated. The others are still fine.

Hey, it's another hokie! I just bought a Hokie mail box cover to display VT and torment part of the non-Hokie family members. Nice Christmas present, don't you think?

So sorry you are having such a rough time of it. And with little ones too! Oh my! As others mentioned, that is a positive test, you need not waste more $$ on more tests.

In fact, were you to have a negative test now, a fluke or just missed by some lab, it could give the insurer a reason to not pay for any future tests or treatment. Please keep that in mind.

If in need of a doctor who is not so jerky, here is a site with a Virginia doctor referral page.

And if you need other help related to Lyme, this link may be of some assistance.

Hang in there and keep strong. We're here for you.
