Help! Had yet another blood test done by ID doctor and my Igg level was low (553) and two of the subclasses were also low and out of range - Subclass 1 - 303, Subclass 2 - 206 -low and out of range. Also, Igg serum out of range - low - 515. Also, Lymphocyte Subset Panel 1 the Absolute CD4+ cells was high and out of range - 1921. Can someone help to explain this please? Thanks in advance. Much appreciated.

Hi, can you post the results again with the normal range after them? Labs can vary.

It sounds like you may have an immune deficiency. You would likely benefit from seeing an immunologist. You may be a candidate for IVIG (IV immunoglobulins).

Agree - looks like immune deficiency.

Did they test your totals for IGA and IGM?

What lab?

My question to others in regards to the IGG - why are there two values sometimes?

ie as above
IGG 553
IGG 515 (serum?)

I have had that happen and have never understood.

I can't help explain (sorry) but just wanted to add to the conversation that I tested LOW on my IgG subclass 2 as well. All the other subclasses were normal. I tested positive for Lyme CDC/Igenex as well as have the co-infections babesia duncani and bartonella. Wonder what is the cause of the low subclass 2...
