Hi to all,
I stopped my abx back in September. Felt GREAT for about 3 months...then the body pain came back and major brain fog.

What I was wondering is...do you think having high TSH 5.100, and low reverse T3 8.1, is Hypothrodism?

I keep reading how a chronic illness may cause the T3 to be low, and if I take armour throid it would not help.

I cannot find an endo that is knowledgable.

My short term memory and cognative skills are really scaring me. I feel like I have dementia.

I havent wanted to post because my words, spelling and grammer, are not coming together.

Thanks for any info,
Atheana

Your TSH is too high. Yes, that could indicate hypothyroidism. I would ask around the local CFS/FMS or Lyme groups for a physician that will appropriately treat your Thyroid, if this was me.

I found a good doctor by checking with pharmacies for a doctor who works with bio-identical hormones. Here are some links to hopefully help you find a doctor to help you.

Hi. Im new to this but think i can clarify. TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) secreted from brain tells thyroid to secrete more hormones when thyroid hormones r low in blood. So makes sense tsh is high w/ low or normal t3/4 (dont know what reverse is or normal ranges r). I dont think a/t would medically b done if ur thyroid levels r in range. However, i think s/t is off if tsh is high. from my experience alternative dr.`s can support ur body when things r off b4 they r abnormal in blood. Also, from what i read about lyme, many patients Hormones r off...i wouldnt search for an endocrinologist, but a knowledgeable holistic/ alternative dr. Who can do s/t now. Good luck.
