Does anyone have any experience with infrared sauna (pronounced in-frah-red)?

There is a new infrared sauna facility in my area that is targeting Lyme patients as their clientele.

I'm considering it for the first time in my treatment as my sweats have decreased.

Curious about other's input...

Yes, great for detox. Better then traditional dry saunas as the heat is able to penetrate deeper into the skin - I think up to 2"? Pulls out a lot of toxins so start slow.

I always take a binder before going in and stay really well hydrated.

Be sure the wood is not treated with chemicals especially if you are chemical sensitive.

I have one and love it.

Ditto everything desertwind said above.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

I love mine.

It loosens up my seized spine.

Helps with "fibro" pain.

Start low and go slow.

Stay hydrated.

I've used one for two years. It helps me become less chemical sensitive as I sweat out toxins.

Do it until you sweat, then stay in another 5 or 10 minutes, then shower off warm and cool.

I take Takesumi activated charcoal as well - it's supposed to stimulate bile flow and increase toxin release internally.
