My ENT started me on these two yesterday. i took one of each around 7PM yesterday…he sees signs of lingering infection of this upper respiratory, cough, congestion that i've had for about 5 weeks…
i also started Dr. Z's herbal protocol about 3 weeks ago and had been having neuro symptoms in lower back and hips and feeling like i wasn't going to be able to walk, Dr. Z's office says their patients begin herxing around the 3d week, so the neuro symptoms are probably herx
about 2:00AM i took an ibuprofen pm because i couldn't sleep..managed to get back to sleep
around 5:00AM i woke with a sensation that i was seeing multiple emails open spontaneously on my screen, i'm thinking i was hallucinating
then my body became restless and not spasming but moving, , the severe urge to vomit came over me…dry heaves
as i write this it's like i'm speeding….if i knew what speed was like…my body wants to move, can't go back to sleep….
scared - is this a Lyme symptom/herx from the abx? is this a reaction to one of the abx? i've taken flagyl before but didn't have this reaction….can't remember ever taking Bactrim, but it's possible…if i did i don't remember a reaction like this….
i'd like to think that this is a herx and i'll feel better in a few mins / hours….
anyone have similar story? did you think it was a here, or reaction to one of the abx?

Bactrim made me feel terrible and gave me strange symptoms.
It could also be herx, but I don't know your story.

update - i stayed home from work yesterday and was wired most of the day but symptoms of anxiety, pain, dry heaves, hallucination were relieved or gone...
of course the hip and back pain started again in the evening....
Dr. Z said it was a herx and to increase one of the herbs for the time being...
i slept better last night, altho woke up feeling once again like it was going to be a struggle to get out of bed, just not as severe as it has been...
at the office now, clearing my throat, maybe the Bactrim and flagyl is working?
i'm intrigued by the proposition in one of the threads here about a possible mold/fungus infection in my sinuses - I'm thinking of having that tested - i guess it's not something the ENT would have seen? or are they just not trained to see it?
i did take a tramadol this AM because i need to be on top of my game today and the pain detracts...also, the pain in my mouth from the tooth extraction last week is severe today...it waxes and wanes on its own terms... thank you for your concern.... dan

It sounds like a herx, but keep a close eye on it.
Bactrim is a sulfa drug and allergies can develop at any time. People experience all different kinds of allergic reactions, although most common is a rash.
