Hi guys,

Could you please advise me on when I should be taking what? How does this look to you?

On waking: doxycycline w/ (at least) 8oz water

20 minutes later: take banderol

10 minutes later: take samento

wait 1/2 hour

Breakfast: Toprol XL; Florinef; Plaquinil; Probiotics (Xymogen: ProbioMax); Candicid Forte (herbal -- anti-candida -- I was told to take with food, a little away from doxy and with probiotics)

Right after breakfast: Nystatin liquid (no food or drink for ten minutes)

Lunch: Iron; Probiotics (Xymogen: ProbioMax; can I take this with iron??); Candicid Forte

1 hr before dinner: doxycycline w/ (at least) 8oz water

20 minutes later: take banderol

10 minutes later: take samento

wait 1/2 hour

Dinner: Plaquinil; Probiotics (Xymogen: ProbioMax)

Right after dinner: Nystatin

Before bed: Magnesium; Calcium; Potassium; Probiotics (Saccharomyces Bouldari); Candicid Forte

Best,

CBL

Canbrave-
Do NOT NOT NOT take doxycycline on an empty stomach! No no no!

It will carve a hole through your belly in a day...if you don't projectile vomit the pills up.

Doxy always needs to be taken in the middle of a meal. A meal with some fat protein fiber.

Otherwise it hacks away at the lining and you'll be nauseated all day.

And I have an iron belly. Seriously. And it bothers me. All my other pills I can take on an empty belly but doxy is terrible to the stomach.

Thank you! I will continue with food, then.

Pharmacist said at least, I should avoid dairy, and minerals when I take it -- have you heard of this?

Best,

CBL

Yes, canbrave. Avoid dairy and any of your minerals near the time you take doxy. But Greta is so right! Take it in the middle of a meal to help protect your gut and reduce nausea.

You will need to take all of your probiotics away from your doxy as well. It gets so complicated the more you take!

I remember trying to take most of my other meds/supplements that needed to be taken with food at lunchtime because I didn't take doxy then.

I can't remember the rules about Samento and Banderol - as far as timing around other antibiotics. I know the Byron White herbs were supposed to be taken at least 2 hours away from ABX.

I hope this helps and doesn't confuse your more!

Thanks! It does help [Smile]

I had an allergic reaction to doxy, so I'm probably going to be requiring *new* advice on timing of meds / supplements, depending on what my LLMD's next plan turns out to be...
