Hi Everyone, After 6 months of not knowing what happened to my body, I got diagnosed with anaplasmosis. It is has been a nightmare of 10 months. I am on my 3rd round of doxy with the knowledge that I might be on it for a long time.
So this is my current question. I'm hopping someone else can shed some light. On the soft palate of my mouth are 3 small, flesh colored blisters and then there are a ton of tiny pinhead looking blisters.
This was one of the first things I noticed when my body started having issues but they have not gone away. They haven't changed in size or anything but they have been there for the duration since I got bit.
I have a swollen occipital lymph node that is hard. Went to the oncologist and they don't think it is cancer they think it is related to the bumps in my throat, which they don't know what they are either.
If it is some type of herpes, would it just stay there for almost a year? I have the herpes virus and HHV6. There could be more viruses, just not sure. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks, Isabel

I don't know the answers about the blisters, but a couple of questions:
what dosage of doxy are you on? I hope that it is 200 mg twice per day. Yes, I know that for Anaplasma, they usually say 100 mg twice per day, but in my experience, when the treatment is delayed, you need a higher dosage.
Also, you need to get to a "Lyme Literate MD" pronto. Go to the Seeking a Doctor section and ask for help in finding one in your area (unless you already have one). REad the stickies at the top this forum, and start educating yourself about Tick-Borne Illnesses.
There are many more illnesses that need to be checked by an experience Lyme doctor.
My first thought about the blisters, by the way, is Candida, a yeast infection. If I'm right, which I might not be, nystatin or diflucan would help (rx's). Otherwise, there are natural remedies.

I once had coxsackie virus, which caused an outbreak of small blisters in my mouth - you could google for its symptoms and see what you think.

Hi, I'm on 100 twice a day & I have been contemplating going at a higher dose. The person I'm working with has tested me for every co-infection that exists. She is really good:) but, I probably need to talk to her about viral infections. Oh the joy.......thank you both for your feedback. Isabel
