Hi,

Haven't been on in awhile...my DS (23) FINALLY showed improvement on Albenza.

Was doing the 6 week parasite protocol and nothing until he went on Albenza. Showed immediate improvement.

Had doc appt. during that time and he too was amazed. Then the 14 day course ended and son regressed.

Doc gave us another 14 days, DS was better but not the dramatic improvement as before but still better on rather than off.

Well now that 14 day course ended so now what?

Not sure if doc will do it again but even so, how long can you stay on Albenza?

Is there something else similar to Albenza?

DS has tried Alinia for months, showed nothing. This was the only thing he has improved on and he has tried everything.

So obviously we are dealing with parasites but other parasitic meds didn't improve him.

Diagnosed with positive lyme / babesia / RMSF, 4+ years. Being treated by very well known LLMD.

Any thoughts?

thanks
his mom

I think it says a lot that he improved on albenza. You need to treat parasites. Please look into the Kalcker parasite protocol and Kerri Rivera's chlorine dioxide protocol, which are done together. Parasites are a huge issue, especially with this generation of children. Hence the huge rise in autism!

Please pm me if you need more info. My entire family of 5 is having huge success with this protocol. It works for lyme too.

Some folks that are on antiparasitic pharmas such as albenza, are also alternating salt/c and antiparasiic herbs such as Parastroy or Humaworm when not on pharmas.

The combo of salt/c and herbs is very effective. Sea salt and vitamin c are also very supportive for the adrenals and immune system and excellent for killing parasites.

You can purchase the salt/c Plus book from amazon for guidance. Also suggest you check out the PARASITE WARRIORS SUPPORT THREAD here on lymenet. Getting rid of parasites can take a couple of yrs. Extra cloves also kills the eggs.

thank you both for replying.

tick battler: I looked up the protocol and am nervous about MMS, wish I had the guts to give it to my DS. If he could talk and tell me how he feels I might try but he doesn't talk.

frikfrak - just a thought...why not lurk on the CD Autism facebook group as many do before deciding whether to try the protocol. Some parents do this for a year! You will see 4,500 other members posting their experiences. It grows by 30 members/day - soon will be over 10,000. The word is spreading. Probably half on the protocol are nonverbal, at least at the beginning prior to CD. It brings back words...check it out and see for yourself!

Hi frikfrak, it's been a while since we talked. Back in Oct. I put my son on Kerri Rivera's protocol. I knew he had parasites, but whenever we tried to treat them, he would have terrible, life-threatening herxes. We started with just a few drops of CD in a footbath. He told me that he could feel his brain starting to clear. We have increased his oral drops very slowly and are still only on 14 drops. He is doing so much better. His anxiety is greatly reduced, and we have not seen psychosis in months. He still has some bad days with his seizures, but they are very much reduced. When he has good days, they are very good, and he is "present". We have seen more improvement on this protocol than all the abx, herbals and IVs that he has done over the past 8 years. I agree with tick battler, go to the CDHealth (adults) and CDAutism Facebook sites and just read. These two groups, along with a consult with Kerri Rivera, gave me the courage to start. Kerri's book "Healing the Symptoms Known as Autism" is a must read before you start.

Hi tick battler, I have to say that you, too, were instrumental in my getting the courage to try CD. All your posts about how much your children were improving helped so much in making my decision. I, myself, have started using it as well and I definitely have more energy. I'm going very slowly as I don't want to herx too badly, but even on a low dose, I feel the difference.

I am so happy to hear that Dan's Mom. I was hoping to help some kids in this group and so glad I was able to do so!

Frikfrak,

There's some basic information on wikipedia. It looks like for some diseases they do three 28 day cycles.

Also, taking an ant-acid at the same time increase the effect of albendazole.

Honestly, I can't understand why the doctor wouldn't want to go aggressive.

Hi,

Me! Albenza cleared my brain fog unlike anything else. I first did 2-5 days of 5 weeks cycle. I did a macroglide + Albenza + Paragone with colonics (maybe you could do enemas).

6 weeks of parasite treatment is not enough. He needs more treatment.

You can also look at Dr. C protocol. It has been posted here in the past.

I know Dr. F and Dr. K also do longer parasite treatments.

I rotated anti-worming pharma's and herbs (for months) then did anti-malarials with heparin with much improvement.

And detox!

Good Luck,

Bumping this thread.

Parasites are key people! Albenza is a good med for sure. I pass lots of worms on it.

Wow! Frikfrak and Dans mom and mig.....were you also diagnosed with Bart, but the parasite protocol helped anyway?
I think a parasite is protecting my Bart.

Interesting how certain meds work for certain people.

I have a laundry list of symptoms which match Bart exactly but I only have partial response to bartonella treatment. We have been after it for years and it just keeps getting worse.
But...could some of the Bart symptoms be parasites? I got my butt absolutely kicked on 4 days of DEC.

I should. Add I did about three months of MMS orally several years ago. Initially there massive herx and improvement but stopped working.

Sorry not to make this about me.

Frikfrak maybe look into DEC? Rosner wrote that it's his favorite drug in the parasite line up. Go sloooow.

Albendazole is a great one for me also. I feel like it gets to more than the others do, and I always pass a lot while taking it. I combine para-meds and take them two weeks at a time. I have read that albendazole can be taken for two weeks, but then a break should be taken before resuming.

A lot of symptoms that I initially thought were bart resolved with parasite tx. A lot of psych and cognitive stuff, skin sensations, horrible insomnia, and probably

some other stuff that I'm forgetting. I still have a truckload of sx from bart, lyme, etc, but treating parasites brought me to a level of functioning I hadn't had for years.
