Went to refill my prescription yesterday.

$92 with my insurance, $177 without insurance!

Insurance covered it 100% last month.

Pharmacist at Walgreens says "we don't set the prices ma'am" - bi*&%

Called the insurance company - last month doxy was on the list of preventive meds that they cover 100%

No longer on the preventive list!!

The first time I bought doxy for my dog it was $16 for 120, and 3 years later it's $177 for 60 capsules?!?

What's going on?

supply and demand ... Yeah right.

With the CDC admitting 300 000, and the useless guidelines from the idsa regarding doxy... Drug companies are wising up and cashing in.

Reminds me of the Enron thing (or maybe it was a different oil company--create a perceived shortage to jack up the price).
