I don't know. That is a great question.

I think my doc told me folks with the VDR (?) mutation flare with vitamin D supplements or excess sun exposure.

Have you had your mthfr mutation checked?

Before my dx, but when I had lyme, I used to tan regularly because of my "skin condition". (another misdiagnosis...grr).

And I always felt good. Relaxed and sleepy afterwards.

If you are on doxycycline, it can also react with UV and make some painful burns.

I tanned out in the sun & always felt better when exposed to sun. Even when on Doxy...go figure.
