i like the dr. I am working with a lot but I have not seen nearly the progress I would have hoped.
My dr. is not open to pulsing and other methods (like treating parasites) I would like to try.
There is another dr. I would like to see but I am scared it won't work out and I won't be able to see my current dr. again.
I have been fired as a patient in the past because I had records sent out to another physician.
I want to try this new doc but not willing to lose my current one.
How should I go about this?

I just switched - I loved my old LLMD but had too many medication sensitivities to take all the prescribed meds. I switched to a doctor that specialized in treating Lyme patients with med sensitivities.
I sent a nice email to my old LLMD and explained that I wanted to treat my med sensitivities for a year or so and then come back to her. She was super nice and totally understood - and she said i was welcome to come back whenever I was ready Posted by TF (Member # 14183) on :
Don't do anything that would let your current doctor know that you are trying someone else.
For example, you need to have copies of all relevant tests, etc. so that you don't have to have your current doctor send anything to the new doctor.
Once you try the new doctor, if you decide to stay with him, you still don't have to let the current doctor know. Just cancel any future appointments without giving any reason.
This way, you can always go back to the current doctor if you need to do so.
Every patient needs to have a file of all of their relevant records. So, if you don't have these documents, call the doctor's office and ask how you can go about getting copies for yourself.
If they ask why you want them, tell them that you are just realizing that you really should have copies of your health records.
I have my own health records going back many, many years. These come in very handy each time I see a new doctor.
