There has been good and bad reports from Cowden users. I would like to know if anyone has modified the Cowden Protocol with good results.

Normal protocol only uses 2 anti microbial herbs at the same time (in the same glass).

Has anyone tried using 3 or 4 anti microbial herbal tinctures in the same glass? If so, was the result positive?

There are certain Cowden tinctures that cannot be used together. There is a list that comes with the protocol.

Yes, but I think that it's only for the non microbial.....some of them shouldn't be taken with the microbials. I'm just referring to the six microbial tinctures that are paired up, and used twice a day.

This link is for the full protocol. I believe that it's the latest one available:

Jlcd1, what used to be called the Cowden Condensed protocol has been replaced by the Cowden Support Program.

Nowadays most people using Cowden either follow the whole Cowden Support, maybe with a few add-ons, as Micul is wondering about OR use a subset of the Cowden Support tinctures, such as Samento, Banderol and Burbur/Serrapeptase etc.

Micul, I do add other antimicrobials, some from nutramedix, such as brief flirtations with Lakato, Barberry and Quina, but did not give them much of a trial. Obviously, i did take them with the guidance of the Nutramedix Compatability chart.

I also am on herbs for parasites, many of which may have actions against Lyme and Co, and also herb mixes such as Her Pharm's Fungus Fighter, which contains Usnea, Pau d'Arco, Oregano leaf and flower and Spilanthes: This too includes antimicrobials that may act against some lyme and Co infections, though I tend to use this on and off. I occasionally do a couple of weeks of knotweed too.

Sadly, I can't at this point claim immense success, but some people on the Facebook lyme herbals group have done quite well on Cowden Support with add-ons such as Byron White Formulas or Beyond Balance ones, for example.
