Hi- Has anyone else deal with inflamed nerves that cause radiculopathy?
My pain started on one dermatome on my left side of my abdomen and wraps all the way around to the front left and then after I started treatment it has moved mostly to the right side. Sometimes it is on both sides at the same time. The pain is in my shoulders and it follows the rib down and into my stomach. When the pain is really flared I don't even want to wear clothes or even laying on my back hurts. It feels the way people describe shingles.
I have also heard some people describe this is the MS hug. It has not let up much at all with treatment. My doctor thinks it could be Bartonella and we have been treating that for a few weeks but it is really too soon to tell if that will make a difference.
Unfortunately I did not get relief from Gabapentin. I have tried to hold off as long as possible but I have had to take oxycodone to cope with the pain.
I realize everyone's Lyme symptoms are different but I was wondering if anyone has had this type of pain and if it was associated with any confections?
Also did this eventually heal and go away with treatment? And if your nerve pain did resolve did this symptom lag behind because the nerve had to heal after the inflammation got better?
Thanks!

For me it has been related to Parasites. They can be a major problem and an often overlooked co-infection of Lyme. They also hibernate in the small intestine and cause a significant amount of pain. Take a look at the PARASITE WARRIORS SUPPORT THREAD.
