Do any of you have experience with the combination of ceftriaxone, azithromycin, rifampin? ..Flagyl pulsing

I was on just Ceftriaxone for months and now we are going after Bart..lovely... [dizzy] I remember that rifampin interferes with lots of other meds so I need to be aware about that.

How were your experiences on this combo? And how long were you on it and did it get rid of your Bart, and help your Borrelia symptoms?

Thank you ahead of time! And please if you were on this combo, can you PM me your doses and anything that you found that was helpful for you. Thank you again!

Hi there Anissa you sweetie.

Yes I did that combo also, but not with flagyl. My doc took me off tinidazole while I was on rifampin zith and IV roceph.

Rifampin can be hard on the liver. I think that's why my doc took me off tinidazole too.

I herxed on the first 10 days of rifampin. It was hard-all my bart symptoms flared. I went a bit squirrelly.

It is important when starting rifampin to start low and slowly work your way up to full dose.

It took me 10 days to go up to next dose.

Some start really low-like minute doses to be safe.

Also, zith can cause stomach upset, so increase probiotics and also try to eat as yeast free, low carb as possible.

Take care Anissa

Thank you Greta.

I will be having IV Azithromycin, but I am glad you told me about going low and slow on the rifampin.

How long were you on Rifampin, Azith, Roceph? Did it help?

I know my Bart is bad, so I really appreciate you warning me on the herx.

Keep getting well!
