I haven't been on in awhile.

I was clinically diagnosed w/Lyme last April. I went to see Dr. C. in MO. He put me on several different protocols. I went to see him twice.

I was due to go see him this past March. I was feeling really good. No symptoms at all. I stopped the antibiotics in February to see how I would feel in March before I made the six hour trip to see Dr. C.

I was fine. No symptoms at all. So I cancelled my appointment with Dr. C in March.

Now it is May and I am starting to have some of those symptoms back, but varied somewhat.

My left arm is somewhat stiff and has pain deep inside it.

Also, it started as a 'catch' in my right leg. Very painful catch, and it was so severe, that it would knock my entire leg out from under me. I would have to catch myself. And it is getting worse.

It started out as a gradual thing....didn't happen very often, but now it is more and more often. Seems like it developing a mild constant deep pain....such as what is in my arm.

Also, at night while sitting, I will get painful nerve like pain that makes a reflexive action happen in my foot. Happens really quick, but several times in one sitting. This is a new symptom.

Now I am really worried. I know what most of you are saying....I was foolish with stopping too quick and cancelling my appointment.

I have always been a little doubtful about the 'clincal' diagnosis. Also, my little income is not very good at meeting the needs of my illness.

I also thought that I could just stay home and treat myself herbally. Not sure of the success of that idea.

I live in Western Tennessee, my insurance has sent me a list of Neurologists that supposedly treat Lyme.

Anyone out there know of any doctors in the West Tennessee area?

Very sorry it is coming back on you. I personally would be willing to try the herbal route.

No way will a neurologist treat you for Lyme. I will send you the name of a possible Dr in your area.

PS.. and a neuro would want a spinal tap ASAP

Hi Carolann,

Hey you won't get chastizing from me about stopping on your own.

It's my daily dream to feel great and quit treating.

Lymetoo is right. Neuros are a total waste of time regarding lyme. You've already had treatment...then you're cured.

Look forward to some steroids and invasive tests. That's what neuros do.

Period.

They like to see big shiny tumors in the CT scans. If you don't have one...they are not interested.

Period.

Buhners book is worth getting and following the protocol.

Also salt and vitamin C.

Or even cleaning up your diet, eating low carb foods, and doing herbal parasite kits.

It won't be a cure, but all of the above will help [Smile]

I'm ready to quit too !!! Tired of taking 30 some pills a day - malaria, antibiotics and supplements and don't feel like I'm getting any better except that some of the sweats have stopped. Still tired, hurt, depressed and very stressed
