Surely this has been discussed here before, but I have not been here for a long time. This time back I am having RA type symptoms , thus it is my new interest. I am new to this information, but it seems much of the alternative approach to RA revolves around the research of Thomas McPherson Brown, and the treatment of mycoplasma as the causative pathogen. I have seen some discussion of minocyline in a somewhat dismissive manner here, but perhaps that has been in terms of treating broader symptoms of Lyme as opposed to the somewhat different context of treating RA Any thoughts?

I think you'll have more luck with this specific topic at http://www.roadback.org/ - a support group for those following the Dr. Brown protocol for dealing with autoimmune connective tissue disorders.

Thanks for that link Razzle. I do however still wonder why the lack of discussion here about overlap in the two conditions. I heard Dr Charles H talk on a radio program that it was his understanding that RA positives for RF could in fact be suffering from Lyme, though he said that if you were positive for ACCP, anti citrullinated cyclic peptide, you likely did not have a Lyme involved disease. I do hear some talk of testing for mycoplasma though it sounds like it is difficult at best
