I can't find this listed as a side effect anywhere and haven't heard anyone mention it. BUT I'm getting an awful metallic taste in my mouth from Rifampin. I started Ceftin and Zith a few weeks ago with no problems and added Rifampin in yesterday. Within a couple of hours it tasted like I was sucking on a rusty coin. It was gone when I woke up this morning but a couple of hours after my breakfast dose the taste is back. Straaaange. Anyone else had this?

I've only experienced this with biaxin - clarithromycin.
