Tried to do a search in the forums here but really didn't find anything. I have been having very frequent mild heartburn daily the past few weeks...somedays almost the entire day.
It is extremely rare I ever get heartburn. I have not recently switched to any new medications to cause this, nor any real changes to my diet. On some of the worst times was at night taking my meds with yogurt.
I will probably run it by my Lyme doctor. It seems like heartburn happened suddenly one night laying down for bed and I started to feel sick and broke out in hives that night. Figured it was a fluke thing I ate. But the heartburn is seeming increasingly frequent.
Anyone experiencing this or any thoughts? Thanks!

Ive been on meds for it for 20 yrs
I think it probably is more common with lyme but it might be themeds not the lyme
Its called acid reflux and needs to be controlled or it can cause cancer...it takrs a long time
Theres alternative ways and meds
Sometimes the meds make reflux better...but cause problems with lyme(parasites)
You can seach on here or google acid reflux to get info

An allergic reaction (hives) causes the immune system to become hypervigilant. You may be experiencing reflux as a side-effect of low-level inflammation in the esophagus or stomach.
Suggest anti-inflammatory supplements & herbs, DGL 20 min. prior to meals, and slippery elm or marshmallow root to soothe the irritation from the acid.

I never had heart burn my entire life until last year when I got it and now have it all the time.
I am not best to ask what I took for it as my system was pretty messed up, but what helped the best recently was me finally giving in and taking 2 weeks of RX prilosec or whatever that is called.
Since that I see a big improvement

It could be from the antibiotics, but it could also be from candida .. esp since you mentioned hives.

I have dealt with acid reflux issues for awhile. I know many of you have severe symptoms and there may not be many options other than PPI's and the like. In my case however I was fairly shocked by the tendency of some doctors who wantetd to prescribe PPi's for me before even meeting for an actual exam. Also I believe there is a school of thought that these drugs are preventing esophageal and other cancers. Perhaps that is possible, but i am providing a link that gives some evidence that the opposite is true. Also providing a link to an audio recording of a doctor who has some ideas on diet strategies to relieve reflux symptoms.
PS .. PepZin GI by Doctor's Best has helped me.

Im going to read those links and hope they are true
I know for me it is ibuprofen...on days i forget or dont take it i dont need omep
But when i am off it two to three days i cant wlk
I have found that eating half an apple or hving a tablespoon of good honey after a meal often stops heartburn
It will bereally good news for me about the cancer
I also have a hiatal hernia that is getting bigger and affects reflux-well thats what they tell me There are protocalls like that on net

Try Alka Seltzer Gold. It will help with acid and detox.
