I've been on oral abx for 2 years. Not seeing results. Want to do IV abx but my doctor won't prescribe. Tough part...I am an American living/working in the UK. I am willing to pay out of pocket for IV abx. Can someone please help with advice for my situation? I am willing t fly back to states, go anywhere, do anything.
Best regards, rob

If did not see results , something was missed , or treated wrong tick borne illnesses first .
2 years is way to long in my opinion for not noticing any improvement.
I would keep daily log of symptoms and especially ones that start early evening till morning .
This way when you go back to a doctor you have a journal.
before asking to go on iv , get the proper diagnoses first if there are any other co infections .
It's a delicate balance when treating for multiple tick borne illnesses .

I've been told some doctors simply don't prescribe IV. They just don't work with it.
I got lucky in that the guy I started out seeing does, because it did a world of good for me. You may need to find a different doctor.

Have you considered antibiotics that can be administered IM such as:
Bicillin L-A - ie Benzylpenicillin G and/or Rocephin - generic Ceftriaxone
Can be self administered.

Another vote for IM shots if you can't get IV.
I didn't know they existed until my doc recommended Bicillin. It helped me improve when orals weren't helping me progress.

What happened to the online "medicine broker" that was based in Europe?
I have been to their website over the past weeks -and the "for patients" area disappears.
In the past Bicillin could be purchased from them w/o Rx.
