I have a test positive for Bartonella, but not for Lyme. I have had my home tested for mold and it came back positive.

My questions are does anyone have any experience with these tests?

Can bartonella cause these levels to be out of whack, or could it be the mold?

Does bartonella effect MSH Levels?

TGF Beta-1 levels are high, how can I get these lower?

abs. CD8-CD57 Panel 59 low 60-360
TGF Beta-1 9,100 High 344-2382
ADH 0.8 Low
Vegf 57 0-115
MSH <8 0-40
HLA DR Gene 4-3-51=multsusceptible
15-6-51=Borrelia post lyme symdrome
C3a 78 55-486
Segmented Neutrophils 85.6 High 35-75
Lymphocytes 12.3 Low 17-43
Testosterone total 198.4 196-782

Visual Contrast Sensitivity test was Positive a month ago, now its negative.

Heavy Metal test levels very high.

Lyme tests are often false negative. If you are positive for bartonella, you need to be seen by a LLMD. A good LLMD will be able to help you with co-infections and should understand the role that mold plays in keeping people sick - especially those with tick born illness. You need some good guidance!

I would try to find a support group in your area http://www.lymenet.org/SupportGroups/ to find out who the good LLMD's are in your area.

You can also post here for that. I will PM you with the name of one that I have heard good things about in Maine.

You probably have seen this website before on mold, but if you haven't - it has a good explanation for many of these markers for mold and other toxins.

Good luck to you!

You have the worst multisusceptible HLA genotype, the "dreaded" one as well as the worst Post-Lyme one that I also have. So your ability to detox from Lyme and Mold is greatly inhibited. You'll have to take some kine of binder such as CSM or activated charcoal and also probably some form of glutathione either IV, cream, or liposomal.

ADH and MSH are both very low which would point towards Mold, but your VEGF is normal and in mold it's also usually low. However, Bart raises VEGF so that might be skewing things here. CD57 is low which would point towards Lyme. Your C3a is normal. . .that is usually high in mold and normal in chronic Lyme. That's great you're able to pass a VCS test now, usually that doesn't happen without some type of treatment intervention.

Sounds like you've got a lot going on, hopefully you can find a good LLMD who is also knowledgeable about Mold and biotoxin illness!

thebinge,
Thank you for your relay, most helpful.

I have been on cholestyramine, benight clay, charcoal, detox baths, etc... for about a month.

I am also on Rifampin 300 mg 2x a day, with A-bart and A-inflam for the last 2 weeks.

In shoemakers work, it says

c3a=normal c4a=high = mold

c3a=high c4a=high = Lyme

I am still waiting on my c4a to come back, it takes three weeks to process.

So as it stands from this, if my c3a is normal, which mine is. I need a high c4a to suggest mold. Which I believe it is mold.

I am taking 1g of glutathione power by designs for health, mixed with water. Do you think this is going to work, or enough?

Dr. Shoemaker also says that mold can cause a low cd57. So I am so confused on all of this, because some of the test contradict each other. [Frown]
